Dabs Juniors excel at SA Schools

Dabulamanzi juniors shone at SA Schools Sprint Champs, held from 30 April – 1 May at Nagle Dam.
The teams selected for World Cup and World Champs are still to be ratified by CSA – some of our athletes are on the proposed list.

Dabulamanzi coach Bill van der Walt reports:

Day 1: Saturday 30 April

The day had a miserable start with cold wind blowing with force towards the dam wall. This settled for the mid part but then changed direction for the late afternoon and evening.
The day starts early at Sprints:  06h00. The prize giving finished at 7pm (19h00) – well after dark.
We earned great respect during Day 1, where the 1000m K1, 1000m K2 and half of the long distance events are raced.
With a record entry of over 320 juniors from around the country, we can be proud!
